East Coast states want to tax drivers’ travel, not their gas
Some of us saw this coming a long time ago - taxing drivers per the mile, not on gas. Why? Because it satisfies the following goals of the ruling elite:
1) Revenues will continue to flow after a new fuel source is used
See, they are trying to prolong our dependence on oil, but even they know they cannot kill everyone testing alternative energy, nor can they maintain our dependence on their oil forever.
2) Tracking of drivers and loss of privacy will become mainstream
They will have a GPS device, with a unique serial number and registration in each driver's vehicle, which can draw them an accurate map of the user's location at all times. This can also be used after the fact to charge drivers with speeding and other offenses.
The dirty little secret is, the oil cartels will not last forever, so keep your eyes out for their new strategies to maintain control over people's energy, and therefore, their freedom...
